The Hurricane was developed in the 1930s by a team lead by Sydney Camm, Hawker's Chief Designer. While often overshadowed by the faster Spitfire, the Hurricane was tough, easier to produce, repair and rearm, and could out turn the Mk.1 Spitfire and BF 109E. Indeed, Hurricane Pilots scored 55% of RAF Combat Victories during the Battle of Britain of 1940, compared to 42% by Spitfire Pilots.

Our Hurricane Mk. 1 (Revised) Blueprint depicts Squadron Leader Archie McKellar’s Hurricane P3308, the Hurricane credited with the highest number of aerial victories during the Battle of Britain.
